Accounting

Chart of accounts, journal entries, currencies and financial reports.

Overview

Accounting is the double-entry backbone. It holds the chart of accounts, multi-currency support and every journal entry — most posted automatically from sales, purchasing and inventory. Entries can be cancelled, reversed or undone at source, and reports (trial balance, P&L, balance sheet) always read from posted entries only.

Key features

Chart of accounts

Hierarchical accounts with dimensions and a full partner ledger.

Journal lifecycle

Post, cancel, reverse and undo-for-source keep the ledger clean.

Multi-currency

Currencies with rates and cross-currency allocation on payments.

How to use it

1. Set up the chart of accounts
Build your hierarchical chart of accounts, currencies and exchange rates once — everything posts against it.
2. Let documents post
Most journal entries post automatically and in balance from Sales, Purchase, Inventory and Payments; you can still add manual entries.
3. Manage the JE lifecycle
Post, cancel, reverse or undo-for-source instead of deleting, so the audit trail stays intact.
4. Report
Trial balance, profit & loss and balance sheet read from posted entries only, with JE-line dimensions and a partner ledger for detail.

Roles & permissions

Accounting permissions govern the chart of accounts and manual entries; document approval routes through the Workflow engine. Reports intentionally read posted entries only, so drafts never skew your numbers.

Cancel, reverse, or undo-for-source — never hard-delete a posted entry.
