Learning (LMS)

Course spaces, content builder, quizzes and live classes.

Overview

The LMS delivers online learning: course spaces with a content builder of 19 element types (templates cloned on publish), quizzes, and live classes with attendance. Media is delivered privately, and the student portal ties it together for learners.

Key features

Content builder

19 element types with clone-on-publish course templates.

Quizzes

Build and grade quizzes tied to course progress.

Live classes

Schedule live sessions with roster and attendance.

How to use it

1. Build a course space
Create a course space and assemble the content with the builder’s 19 element types. Templates are cloned on publish, so your edits stay in draft and never disturb live learners.
2. Add quizzes
Create quizzes tied to the course, grade them, and feed the results into each learner’s course progress.
3. Schedule live classes
Schedule live sessions with a roster; attendance is recorded and course-status / debarment rules apply just like on-campus sections.
4. Deliver privately
Course media is delivered privately per student (via /media/{id}/file, never public URLs), and learners reach everything through the student portal.

Roles & permissions

Instructors build and manage their own course spaces; students access only their enrolled courses through the portal. Media is private and access-checked per student. When the Proctoring module is installed, exams can enforce integrity policies via the ExamProctorGate.

Questions about this module

Do content edits affect students mid-course?
No — templates clone on publish, so your edits stay in draft until you publish a new version.
Can I run proctored exams?
Yes, if the Proctoring module is installed — policies are enforced at check-in and during the exam.
How is course video protected?
Media is private and served per student through /media/{id}/file — never a public URL.
