Inventory
Stock moves, warehouses, lots & serials, valuation and adjustments.
Overview
Inventory tracks quantity and value across warehouses and locations. It handles receipts, deliveries, internal transfers, scrap and adjustments, with FIFO/FEFO lot picking, serial tracking and weighted-average costing. Direction-aware adjustment entries and revaluations keep the stock ledger reconciled with accounting at all times.
Key features
Multi-warehouse
Track quants per warehouse, location and unit, with smart location pickers.
Lots & serials
Full lot and serial tracking with FIFO/FEFO movement enforcement.
Valuation
Weighted-average cost, revaluation and a full valuation report.
How to use it
1. Set up warehouses & locations
Define warehouses, internal locations and the units your items move in — this is the map every stock move follows.
2. Move stock
Receipts, deliveries, internal transfers and scrap all adjust the quants; lot/serial-tracked items pick by FIFO or FEFO.
3. Reserve on demand
Confirming a sales order reserves the stock so the same units can’t be sold twice.
4. Value & reconcile
Weighted-average cost, revaluation and direction-aware adjustment journal entries keep the stock ledger reconciled with Accounting.
Roles & permissions
Inventory permissions and data scope govern who can move and adjust stock; every move posts the correct GL (a delivery debits GINI / credits Inventory; transfers move value at weighted-average cost). Stock move lines are never model-deleted — use the proper reversal.
Questions about this module

Can I track lots and serials?
Yes — full lot and serial tracking with FIFO/FEFO enforcement on picks.
How do internal transfers affect value?
They move value between locations at weighted-average cost with a matching GL entry.
