Installments

How to use it

1. Define fees & tuition
Set up fee structures and tuition for each program/term, then bill students for the term so a balance is raised on each student account.
2. Apply scholarships
Apply scholarships and discounts to reduce a student’s billed amount; the accounting reflects the discount so the books stay correct.
3. Issue invoices & installments
Issue invoices with an installment plan so students pay over time, each installment with its own due date.
4. Collect & reconcile
Payments clear through a gateway clearing account into the general ledger, keeping each student’s balance and the institution’s accounting perfectly aligned.

Roles & permissions

Finance staff manage fees, scholarships and invoices under Student Finance permissions; students see only their own balances and installments in the portal. Every payment posts through the clearing account into Accounting.
